The Ultimate Business and Leisure Hotel in Buckinghamshire
The Brief
Tally PR has been working with Crown Plaza Marlow during 2011 to help position the hotel as a local, family friendly leisure destination as well as a leading business hotel. 
The Strategy
Tally PR has worked with the Marketing Manager to dovetail all external communications to maximise efforts and exposure. We have publicised a programme of activities including the Easter egg hunt, summer BBQs and Halloween parties, fundraising events with the Air Ambulance plus food as well as food and wedding fayres. We were also given the brief to target the trade press with new personnel appointments, the launch of a creative business area and a new networking event starting this autumn and raise the hotel’s game with these journalists.
The Results
Tally PR has worked hard to build strong relationships with the local press so they take editorial not just advertising. Trade publications and website are now aware of Crowne Plaza Marlow and come to us for comment pieces in addition to taking news stories. We’ve proactively contacted the beauty, parenting and travel press as a way of targeting families and leisure users and this has been received well with a great deal of ongoing interest. 2 successful press trips; one with Prima Baby and the other by the BabyWebsite were set up, with some excellent comments and reviews received as a result.
